I have a confession to make. At times, I'm a slacker. Sometimes while I'm cooking dinner, organizing, on the phone, or cleaning, I pop the kids in front of my laptop with a movie or educational video. It allows me to keep them entertained while getting what I need to do done faster, so I can get back to being supermom (not really....).
Lately though, I have had my reservations about this because Tbomb is curious and has decided that banging on the laptop's keys is a good idea. Then, Kodabug just has to join in. The folks at Kid Lid jumped in and saved the day!
I received the Fold Up Board in red, which allows for easy access to the keyboard and mouse pad when needed. The removable elastic strap makes it stay in place. These are available in blue, red, and black.
They also make a Kid Lid Protect Board (white only), which does not fold and is actually dishwasher safe. It also has a removable elastic strap. Both types are available for 13" and 15" laptops. They are compatible with both Mac and PC.
Kid Lid also offers adorable accessories like a power bank, toddler sunglasses, caps, and shirt. The branding on these is beyond adorable.
My Thoughts
The Kid Lid has become a product I cannot live without. I can use it with the kids and allow them to watch videos while I am busy elsewhere. Another awesome thing is that I can use it and let Tbomb play games (using a wireless mouse) while not having access to the keyboard.
I use it in other ways too. If I'm watching a video or webinar, I can lay my notes or other materials on my Kid Lid and use less space. The same goes for when I'm planning out my week. I can use it as an extra surface.
During events and team meetings, I can put a video on my laptop to show and not have to worry about something being spilled on it or someone setting something on it or putting pressure on it.
It's a win-win and I automatically put it in my laptop case now when traveling. I can't wait to use it when we go on vacation this year- pop a movie in for the kids while we sit on the balcony without worrying!

ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! This would be so wonderful! I have 2 toddlers under 3, and they are always hitting the keys, so I can't leave them watching a movie on my laptop. This would make it work and I could cook! ha! Thank you for the wonderful giveaway.

This would really be a help because the kids often damage the computer. With this protection, I wouldn't need to be so worried about it.
