Living The Organized Life: I'm Losing My Mind

I know I've posted this picture before, but I love it. Honestly, it's the only one with all for of us in it. I'm sure you are wondering what that has to do with losing my mind, but i promise I'll make the connection for you.

I was always the most organized person I know, but these days, I'm not. I can't seem to keep track of anything and I have a to do list that will never end. I'm having a hard time working it all into a day and by the end of the day, I'm frustrated at what I didn't get done, and have to redo my schedule for the next day.

I have a list of things to do, like getting a family portrait scheduled (see the connection), that is growing every day because the holidays are coming. This is on top of scheduling normal appointments and keeping up with milestones.

My appointment book looks ridiculous because I double scheduled some things. In fact, a couple weeks ago, I took the wrong kid to the doctor.

I'm working on a plan that will not only get me organized again, but help insure my to do list shrinks daily. The first step seems simple, but it may be the hardest for me.

First up- stop focusing on what I didn't get done and celebrate what I did get done. Remember that no one has it together 100% of the time, and with a 3 year old, and a 8 week old, life can get crazy and things can be forgotten. Remember that it's okay and the kids do not know that i royally screwed up and didn't get the portrait made when I wanted to.

To put it simply, remember my motto: Life is perfect, even when it's not. Or, even more simply- Beautiful Imperfection!

Find Out Why I'm Excited for Spring 2014

I have been talking with a designer and I'm very excited that this bag is coming in Spring of 2014

Not only is this bag beautiful, but it was born because of a beautiful story.

Ebenezer had a very sick Grandmother, who he loved very much. He could not afford to get her to America so that she would get better healthcare. He vowed that never again would someone or their loved ones suffer because of the financial inability to get medical attention that could save their life.

The purpose of the O'Bazzie Satchel is to support the international education of children and to help fund medical care for the elderly in Africa.

Ebenezer designed this beautiful satchel purely out of love for his Grandmother. I'm sure she is very proud of what her sickness inspired and even more so in the determination of her grandson.

I asked Ebenezer where he gets his inspiration. His response: "I'm mostly inspired by the simple things around my every day environment and interactions with people."

The O'Bazzie Satchel will be available in a variety of colors and sizes, plus you'll have the opportunity to help out a great cause.

It has been a pleasure speaking with Ebenezer, and I look forward to see what his future holds.

I will be sure to let you guys know how much I love the satchel when I get my hands on one!

Eat, Drink, And Be Scary: Halloween Makeup Trends

Once again, I love Halloween. I spend entirely too much time in the Halloween isle looking at cute accessories and makeup. I even stock up for future years (and for stage wear) after Halloween.

In this photo, I'm wearing a witch hat fascinator with feathers, bold eyeliner, and huge eyelashes- I wish I had a picture of the eyelashes.

The year I did my interpretation of the wicked witch was by far my favorite costume- then my sex and the city witch (I just made it up by making a fun witch costume.

These days I like to just pick up a fun headband or fascinator and do some fun makeup. I like to keep things fun and creative. I stay away from scary for the kids.

So, I want to share with you some Halloween makeup inspiration. I will eventually decide what I will do for the big day.
