A Billion Entrepreneurs - Let's Get On TV

I wrote before about the project A Billion Entrepreneurs and the importance of the project. I let you know how strongly I feel about this project and I wanted to share the latest news with you.

Jimmy, the founder of A Billion Entrepreneurs, has started a 14 day crusade to land himself on late night TV. This may not make sense to some, but as an entrepreneur myself, I get it. Talk shows are a huge opportunity for a business. Make that a late night talk show, and you have shot to the moon. I can only imagine sitting there with Craig Furguson or Jay Leno (those were the days) and chatting about my latest projects.

That would most likely be my career high. If I were trying to raise money to complete my project, it would be even better. There is no other platform that will get you the ears and eyes of late night television. I want to do my part to spread the word about this amazing project, so I want to share this crusade with you. Mom Approved: Blowout Blocker

Because I am a work at home and homeschooling mom, I have to be productive when running errands. Part of being productive is minimizing mishaps. I make sure both kids have plenty of toys and that my oldest has some educational activities, and that my little Miss America has clothing on that makes diaper changes easier. We also make sure to have plenty of easy to eat snacks that cause minimal messes.

One problem that i have not had a solution to until now is the problem of blowouts. When the littlest has a dirty problem, it is so easy to get out of control when in the carseat. It takes almost no time for a simple dirty diaper to turn into chaos.

As you all know, my family has started homeschooling and this has been a crazy, complicated, and rewarding adventure. One of the things I have been doing is making sure that there is fun mixed in with school. I am always looking for activities to do with Mac that is fun, but has a educational twist as well.

A Better Solution for Crushing Pills

I cannot swallow pills. Until the last few years, I could not swallow anything larger than a birth control pill. In the last few years, I have learned to deal with aleve, but nothing larger. One More Thing To Make Life Easier

Especially this time of year, I really need to keep medicine by the bed for headaches, allergy problems, and even joint problems from being more active than during the winter.

With  CARAFE Water cup with two-compartment pill box inside the cap, I can keep a few of each type of medicine by the bed and not have to fight with pill bottles. I can also keep water in it without having to pour into a cup or risk spilling a cup that has been poured. I try and be a positive person, but sometimes I need a reminder. For instance, when I have had no sleep, I have a hard time being positive.

Cover Those Spots with Ageless Derma

As you all know, my position in CSPRI Inc recently changed and I am now the Enterprise and Events Administrator. This has definitely kept me busy and I have planned about 8 events since November and have many more for the upcoming months. The most difficult part of this new position was finding the processes that make everything run more smoothly. That's where the Macbeth Collection- Large Clipboard comes in.

I Dream of Entrepreneurs

Since I was a teenager, I have dreamed of being a business owner. Through all of my career dreams, one thing was at the center- I wanted to be my own boss. I think this boils down to the fact that I like to be in charge and if I need something done, I would rather do it myself.

A Billion Entrepreneurs is a movement with the objective to plant the seed of entrepreneurship into multiple generations and re-define the word, “entrepreneurship” to mean, “Taking responsibility for outcomes,” which ultimately means taking responsibility for one’s life and current situation. A major catalyst was needed to jump start this movement, and spark people to get inspired to find their purpose in life, with the end result of living happier and more fulfilling lives. Therefore “A Billion Entrepreneurs” the film was created.

Their vision is to have an entrepreneur in every home. The group has decided to make a movie to launch themselves further into this mission, that will reach international dreamers. The movement stresses the need for entrepreneurs and the lifestyle they live. The  freedom, security, and success they experience is something every family in the world should see first hand.

Filmmaker Jimmy Newson has a message for us all. “I want people to understand how invigorating it is to be an entrepreneur,” explains Newson. “I want to plant the seed of entrepreneurship into multiple generations and re-define the word ‘entrepreneurship’ to mean ‘taking responsibility for outcomes in all areas of life.

The making of the movie needs further funds, so they have started an Indigogo campaign.  Every one of us can help this group meet their goal. Even if you can't help financially (pledges range from $10 to $7000), I urge you to read about the project and share the message with everyone you know. Use your influence.

Bars, Bands, and Bikes: Looking Back to My Early 20s

I have been reminiscing a lot lately about my early 20s. I'm sure it is because I'll be 30 in just a few months. Although I love my life and wouldn't change anything, I sure did have some fun back then. I did some freelance work in promotions. It was pretty natural because the resort I worked at booked a lot of bands and had events. I could work on projects for them and it was helping to grow my business. While I did mostly work with bands and bars, I worked with other types of businesses as well.

I was able to travel to Daytona Beach, FL for "Bike Week" in March of 2006. I went with my dad and a family friend. I helped them out with their side businesses (body jewelry for dad and traditional Native American items for our friend), but while I was there, I worked on my business as well. I worked with a bar to promote a pretty big country band (Confederate Railroad) and helped out with a photo shoot for a custom chopper shop (Porky's Choppers).

I was going to rebuild this for myself!

That's what I was reminiscing about. What started it? Sitting outside, a gorgeous Harley Davidson went down the road and I was reminded of my love of motorcycles, especially Harleys (Yes, our Jack Russell is named Harley for a reason, he even has saddle bags).

My dad was a biker, so I've always loved them, but my true slight obsession began when I was in Daytona Beach. I saw so many gorgeous one and for the first time as an adult was truly immersed in the biker culture, which is like no other. That's why when we (Carolina Cryptid Crew) were invited to the benefit at the motorcycle club, I knew we had to do it.

Something about the story, shine, and sound of the Harley-Davidson just kicks me in to high gear. I start thinking back and day dreaming of getting on the road and letting the wind through my hair.
