Homeschool Resource: StartWrite

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

As I have mentioned many times before, we started homeschooling early so that we could find the resourses ad systems that work for our family. Some of this has proven to be an issue. I was designing my own worksheets, but I didn't really care for the look or complexity of this system. StartWrite rescued me.

StartWrite is an amazing tool for creating handwriting worksheets at home. It is completely customizable. You can change the colors, orientation, stroke, font, and even border. I love that you can even add pictures. I changed the letters for a tracing line so that Mac (who is only 3) has more guidance.

I could not find a single feature that was not customizable in this software.

We use them to create regular worksheets, but also math sheets and our morning book sheets. For this, we put them into a sheet protector and reuse them every day.

I like that the font can be changed, in fact, you can use the classic handwriting styles that are used in the classroom. Here are the fonts you should know: Manuscript and Manuscript Simple (Zaner-Bloser); Modern Manuscript (D'Nealian), and Italic (Getty-Dubay Italic).

Are you a homeschool parent or classroom teacher? Would you like this software for yourself? You are in luck, The Palmetto Queen is giving away one copy of this software. Just comment how you would use it for your chance to win. A winner will be selected randomly Thursday, May 22. Good luck!

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
