You Must Be Trippin: #BWRider

Disclaimer: This is a sponsored post, but I really do love motorcycles. All opinions are my own.

I have written before about my love of motorcycles. Well, my dad is getting me all excited again because his latest project is almost ready for a test ride. He has built and customized motorcycles since I before I was born. This could have *just a little* to do with my love of freedom on two wheels. I always knew I would marry a man that rode. I did- he just doesn't have it anymore (you know, kids and all).

One of my favorite projects with my dad was to plan out motorcycle trips. We would plan a couple a year. It was fun, even if we didn't end up going. The problem solving and spending time together was really what it was all about. Planning trips has come a long way with the internet making life easier. Thanks to Best Western, planning a motorcycle trip is easier than ever, with the Best Western Ride Rewards Program.

I was so excited to learn about this, and Best Western's partnership with Harley-Davidson to make sure that riders have the best experience available to them. My husband and I have been daydreaming about a trip to Strugis one day. We've even talked about dragging the in-laws and my parents along the way. There is a glimmer of whimsy in both of our eyes when the Sturgis shows return and when a motorcycle commercial comes on.

Best Western's Rider Friendly Hotels

Best Western has over 12,000 properties in the United States and Canada that are "rider-friendly." This means that riders will be provided amenities that are important to them. This includes complimentary wipe-down towels and even access to a cleaning station. Some even offer extra benefits, like reserved parking, bottled water, and lip balm.

Best Western Ride Rewards Program

In 2006, Best Western introduced the Ride Rewards Program specifically with Harley-Davidson, and other motorcycle, riders and enthusiasts in mind. When one joins this rewards program, they automatically receive Gold Elite status, which includes 10 percent bonus points when staying at Best Western. (There is also the ability to purchase points to redeem for rewards and signature benefits). Once registered, members earn 10 points for every U.S. dollar spent on qualified room rates or 250 airline miles per qualified stay at more than 4,000 Best Western hotels worldwide.

Best Western’s travel blog, You Must Be Trippin, features a motorcycle travel writer, Jason Fogelson. Content includes personal stories, ride ideas, packing tips, bike suggestions and more. See posts like these:

Best Western and Harley-Davidson Partnership

Because Harley-Davidson’sand Best Western’s heritage are both deeply rooted along America’s scenic highways and byways, the partnership was natural. With both brands so highly connected with travel, they are bringing an amazing quality of customer care to the table. They have a multi-year agreement to meet the needs of riders. Harley-Davidson’s Ride Planner, which riders use to help map and plan rides, posts Best Western hotels along their scheduled route, making it easy to book hotels – many of which are deemed “rider-friendly.”

Best Western and Harley-Davidson hosted a ride for several motorcycle journalists through Montana in August. Their stops included Helena, Polson, Shelby, and back to Helena. Each night, the riders stayed on a different Best Western property, including the BEST WESTERN PLUS KwaTaqNuk Resort.
