Free Printable: Perpetual Calendar

As promised, here is another freebie. This perpetual calendar is perfect for keeping up with birthdays and anniversaries, especially for transferring to a monthly calendar. I also use it for writing out birthday cards at the beginning of the year (more on that in another post). I've also included a 3-year calendar, so it is like a 2-in-1

Review: Ozeri Green Earth Frying Pan

Disclaimer: I received a product to review. All opinions are my own.

I have recently been honored with the opportunity to work with Moderna Housewares. They sent me the Ozeri Green Earth Frying Pan to review, and I am loving it!

I use a frying pan a good bit, but do not always want to pull out the cast iron, and sometimes I do not want to fight with the clean up. The Green Earth Pan by Ozeri has solved that problem. It is much lighter than a cast iron, easier to clean, and is even non-stick.

The textured base ensures that the heat is distributed more evenly, which is always a plus. Also, the silicone handle stays cool, has a gripping functionality, and is also much more comfortable to pick up than other frying pans. These ceramic pans boast a GREBLON ceramic coating that is a much safer alternative and is 100% PTFE and PFOA free.  It also has a scratch resistant 100% ceramic coating that is super easy to clean. No heavy metals or harmful chemicals are used to create this heavy-gauge die-cast pan.

Innovative textured pan surface delivers enhanced heat distribution and superior non-stick performance without ever releasing harmful fumes or toxins.

This pan is available in an 8-inch, 10-inch, and 12-inch size.  Add to its functionality with this lid. I could not be happier with this pan. Unless I am doing some serious frying, this has become my go-to frying pan. It is lighter, which is easier to cook and clean with. It is non-stick, which is always nice, and it is safe!

Free Printable: Blank Weekly Planner

This week I have something exciting for you! I will have a new free printable for you each day! These are specially designed for half size planners and I hope they add to the functionality, beauty, and organization of your planner.

When it comes to getting organized for the new year, my biggest advice is to make it yours. That is why each printable is separate. I've tried to make the design beautiful and the functionality wider, so that each of you can make it your own.

If you download, I would love to know what you think. Here is the weekly in my own planner:

Each file is a .pdf and I have one that is single sided and one that is double sided (perfect if you send items like this off to be printed- I send planner printables to UPS because there are more, which makes it more cost effective and the paper is thicker).

Five Tips to Beat the Blues, Feel Better & Stay Healthy in 2016

January is Depressing…
But It's Also the Month to Start Impressing Yourself

Credit card bills, short days, plummeting temperatures and maybe even a few extra pounds from all those holiday celebrations and libations. According to a recent article in psychcentral.com, “studies show as many as 25 percent of Americans suffer from low-grade to full-blown depression after the holidays.”[1]. And then there is Blue Monday – the third Monday in January, believed to be the most depressing day of the year.

Oy!

The fact is: the sun is out a bit longer each day and people are starting to think about spring, warm weather, and bathing suit season. January is the month to actually take advantage and get ready for a new year. It's also “National Staying Healthy Month,” so here are five simple things everyone can do to feel healthier and spring into 2016:

  1. Apple2BWalk, don't run.
  2. Baby steps – take the stairs.
  3. Eat fruit – consider freeze-dried fruit snacks when fresh fruit is not available.
  4. Stay hydrated – water is best, but try some of the new natural beverages.
  5. Sit less – pace, stand, get a walking desk. Just don't sit.

Making Road Trips Easier With Gerry Giraffe

Disclaimer: I received a product to review. All opinions are my own.

I have mentioned before that I will be taking the kids (with my mom) to Panama City, Florida in the spring. It should be fun, but I am seriously dreading that 10-hour drive to get there. You see, I have a 5-year-old that gets car sick and a 2-year-old that hates to ride. I'm preparing now for the trip to make sure that we have everything we need (we've never gone away for a whole week or driven that long), doing research for kid activities, and finding ways of keeping one from getting sick and the other entertained. I'm starting to actually put some things together and last week, I received something that my Kodabug loves and should help with this ride.

You see, My Kodabug is obsessed with Giraffes (and bows). This is going to keep her happy on the road. The kit comes with a Gerry Giraffe seatbelt pillow, cling sunshades, and a kick mat with an iPad holder and pockets. This way, I can put my tablet in it with a movie for her to watch. It will have a pocket for her drink, snacks, and favorite toys. I'm sure we will be surrounded with giraffes on this trip. I love that I will be able to keep everything handy and keep her entertained at the same time.

The only problem I have found is that the giraffe is a little big for her car seat- but it is made for a seatbelt, so once she grows into a booster, it will be perfect! It will also double as a toy and pillow to sleep on.

The sun shades are amazing (comes with 2). They are the mesh ones, but they have a plastic on the back of them so that they cling and stay still- no suction cups!

The whole set is very durable and adorable. I really wanted to set it up in the car and take it for a test drive, but with the weather we have had in South Carolina, we have been hunkered down in the house.

This is an awesome set and I love it so much that I want to get Tbomb one that is an elephant or lion!
