Max and Denalyn Lucado have teamed up to present us with this beautiful book just for kids. It is The Lucado Treasury of Bedtime Prayers. This book is truly beautiful and has the sweetest prayers perfect for bed time. They are meaningful and the perfect length for little ones to remember. This collection is a mix of classic and original prayers designed to help parents every where make prayer part of their child's daily life. The introduction is written to help parents find the strength and faith to teach their children how important starting and ending a day with prayer is. After all, if we remember to pray throughout the day, we remember to ask God for strength when we need it.
We say the classic goodnight prayer every night with Tbomb and Kodabug. We have been trying to encourage Tbomb to say prayers from the heart, he does good, but still needs encouragement. That is why the Lucado Treasury of Bedtime Prayers is so perfect for our family. It has encouraged Tbomb to pray from his heart. He enjoys picking a different prayer every night and has even started making some of his own up. Kodabug has finally started putting her hands together for prayer. I think we can all say that night time prayers are our favorite part of the day. It's so nice to have the whole family piled on the bed, talk about our day, and how much we love God. What better way to end the day, than a sweet prayer.
