Jurassic World Live Tour comes to Greenville, SC

I am so excited to share what I did!!! Tbomb wants to be a paleontologist and we love outings with the kids. When I found out that Jurassic World Live Tour was going to be in our area, I knew I had to get tickets. Yes, I found this out a year ago, and I finally got tickets!

The kids are beyond excited and we are learning something new about dinos every day leading up to the show. Which, in our house, is normal because Tbomb is obsessed. I will definitely share more as we get closer!

My New Obsession: Mantas From Outdoor Tech

Disclaimer: I received a product to review. All opinions are my own.

I have often sung the praises of Outdoor Tech products. I seriously love this company! Everything I have tried out not only solves a problem I have but solves it wonderfully and better than I could imagine. Headphones, power banks, power stations, speakers, and flashlights. My whole family is obsessed with Outdoor Tech. To make it even better, their products have bigfoot on them and come with bigfoot stickers!

First, I have to mention the packaging. Outdoor Tech has my packaging by far and are pros at brand placement. In every box is an Outdoor Tech logo sticker to put on anything. I have one on my laptop, one on my camera case, and on other things as well. The logo is also on all the products. Seriously, great brand placement. I also love the boxes that their products come in. They boast all the features of the product in an infographic style. It is beautiful and eye-catching.

My love for these products, including the Mantas True Wireless Earbuds, goes far beyond the packaging!

The Mantas are true wireless Bluetooth earbuds. There is no wire connecting the two earbuds. Yes, they really do work for 12 hours on one charge. I was really shocked. I also love that they are sweatproof- summer in the south is hot! I can also listen to them while hiking - which I love.

I have never had them fall out because the fit is so wonderful. I usually have a hard time with earbuds because they do not fit in my ears very well, but these are wonderful and comfortable. I can wear them for hours with no complaints. NO headphones have ever been this comfortable for me before. The sound is truly wonderful- like I am sitting in a concert.

Another thing I love about them is that you can use them separately as well. I've actually been letting my mother in law used one of them because I only listen with one ear anyway- this way I can hear if the kids need me. If using them together, the sound in stereo. If separate it is mono. Yes, this means you can use them on two different devices at once. They are completely separate if using that way. Connecting them via Bluetooth is simple, whether using them separately or together. You can charge them one at a time with any micro USB or together with the included charger. Yes, you can use them for calls as well.

One of my favorite things is something I have a hard time finding. Even with my Industrial piercing and others, I can comfortably wear these earbuds!

If you have never experienced Outdoor Technology, you must. It is all drop-proof, weatherproof, and life-proof. These are technological products that will support you no matter your adventure- so grab some Outdoor Technology and get living!

National Geographic Kids: Fun And Educational Books For All Kids

Disclaimer: I received books to review. All opinions are my own.

My kids LOVE books. I mean, really love them. Tbomb is obsessed with atlases, encyclopedias, and almanacs, while Koda loves anything cute. We were sent some of the newest National Geographic Kids Books and the kids are loving them. They read them all the time and we always throw one in the backpacks for the many doctor appointments that we have.

World Atlas Sticker Activity Book

Kids will do a lot more than point at places on a map when they pick up this awesome world atlas! It provides a hands-on way for kids to learn about the world through maps, fun facts, activities, and more than 2,000 stickers. From landmarks to animals, to flags, there's no better way to discover important information about the world than sticker by sticker.

National Geographic Kids Baby Animals Sticker Activity Book

With 1,000 stickers and fantastic graphics and text, these high quality, superfun sticker books are a great way for kids to learn about animals and the natural world.

The Baby Animals sticker book is chock-full of the cutest creatures on the planet: pandas, piglets, wolf cubs, ponies, polar bears, elephants, bunnies, kittens, puppies, and many more. With a fun, brightly colored design and loaded with animal facts and games--such as mazes, counting, matching and more--this book is sure to provide endless entertainment.

This Book is Cute: The Soft and Squishy Science and Culture of Aww

Ever wonder why some creatures just make you want to cuddle them? Join us in the science lab to ooh and aah over adorable animals and discover why CUTE is just so darn irresistible!

Those adorable big eyes. Those floppy ears! And that soft velvety fur. Welcome to the soft and squishy science of cute! In this book, we'll take a look at what actually makes something "cute," what happens inside our brains when we see something cute, and why we're biologically hardwired that way. We'll also explore why some brands, products, and characters have been such sensational hits through the ages.

Get ready for cute overload as we look at lots of awww-dorable images to explore why babies, puppies, and other small fluffy animals with round faces and big eyes are universally adored (and why others are less so). Flynn explains the psychology and physiology behind our responses and answers questions, such as What influence does our culture or environment have on our conceptions of cute? We'll also take an up-close look at crazes today, from the indisputably cutest animals ever to Internet sensations. Let the squealing commence!

Code This!

Programming concepts come to life in this kid-friendly intro to the basics of computer science and coding, with puzzles, games, and quirky characters.

Welcome to the Coder Crew, where you're on a mission. You'll write algorithms to find hidden treasures, decode ciphers to read secret messages, create loops to program an expedition, and more. Along the way, you'll learn the art of figuring out how to do things in general. That's called computer science. You'll also learn the art of explaining something in particular. That's called programming, or coding.

Then you can put your skills to the test to help Cody the Robot. Whenever the Code This! Explorers need a hand, Cody is there to help. Unfortunately, this robot is very particular about the details. It can't simply collect a rare type of bacteria from a volcano. It needs step-by-step instructions on where to go, how to collect the bacteria, what bacteria to collect, and how to get back to the Explorers. Even more unfortunately, the Explorers are superbusy folks with a lot of cool stuff on their minds. That means they rarely give Cody the instructions it needs, which makes it want to totally short-circuit. That's where YOU come in to help Cody succeed at some of the trickiest, most awesome missions on Earth.

My kids absolutely love these books and they are wonderful for learning on the go and perfect for rainy days. They are also wonderful supplements for our homeschool curriculum.

Keep Medical Needs Handy With Too Sweet Boutique

Disclaimer: I was sent products to review. All opinions are my own.

I've not been blogging like I like to because so much has been going on. I know- isn't it always? But, I haven't been able to concentrate much as my daughter has needed me so much more. We actually ended up having to pull her from school and homeschool her. Her stomach and knee pain are progressively getting worse and she's just been getting sick so much and having a hard time fighting off even a simple cold. Doctors' offices have been our second home.

It turns out she has something going on with her stomach, yet we haven't gotten to the bottom of it, has growth abnormalities in her knees, causing the knee pain and has a primary immune disorder- IGA deficiency. This is what is causing her to get sick so often and not be able to fight it and likely what causes all of her ear infections, sinus problems, and bladder infections. We still have a lot of appointments and testing to deal with. This week she sees the allergist, immunologist, and will get her asthma testing. Being a control freak, I have to do all I can to help along the way.

The big way we are changing things now is that she has to wear masks, gloves, and use sanitizer constantly. This means it has to stay handy for her. While looking for a solution, I came across Too Sweet Boutique.

Too Sweet Boutique is run by an amazingly sweet lady that understands the struggles we have and has created a product to make things simpler and more fun for little ones. She even makes them doll-sized, which made Koda so happy because her best friend has to be just like her.

Since Allie now matches her and has to wear her mask as well, she feels a little better about having to wear it and gloves when we are out.

These pouches are generally made for insulin pumps and other diabetic supplies but can be customized to meet most medical needs. Guess what?! There is even an armband size available. How awesome! If you have a child with medical needs, I would definitely check out Too Sweet Boutique. Plus, she's sooo sweet!

Mail Order Mystery: A Fun And Educational Surprise

Disclaimer: I received membership in exchange for my review. All opinions are my own.

I have been dying to share Mail Order Mystery with you guys. Its such a fun subscription that has a ton of benefits for you and your child. An added benefit for us is that with my husband and I being bigfoot researchers, the kids are interested as well and they get excited to solve the mystery. With this subscription, kids explore coding, problem-solving, read, and immerse themselves in the story.

We received The Case Of The Missing Bigfoot. They enjoyed every installment and especially loved the end and the surprise for solving the case (Sorry, no spoilers). This is a 6-week subscription, but there is also an option to get them all at once! Don't worry- the story is not scary, but actually very fun.

With each installment, we sat on the living room floor together and spread everything from that one and the previous ones out in front of us. Tbomb made notes and even put sticky notes on some things. He really enjoyed solving the riddles and cryptic messages. I was really impressed with his critical thinking skills. Snapper would get in on it as well.

Tbomb has since pulled it all out again and gone through it "to make sure he didn't miss anything the first time."

An old mansion. A dinner party about to begin. The lights go out, there’s an upset in the dining room, an upset in the upstairs hall. The lights come on, the safe is open and the contents are gone. Who did it?

The detectives on the scene need the help of a keen and curious young sleuth to help them solve the case. Kids receive a series of personalized letters containing all sorts of evidence and clues: “crime scene” photos, fingerprint reports, interview transcripts, ciphers and a suspect board to help keep track of the case.

And by the way, the mansion is not far from where you live. A big hairy creature that may or may not be Bigfoot was recently spotted in the area. You haven’t seen anything out of the ordinary, have you?

Let Me Tell You 'Bout Warmies

Disclaimer: I received a product to review. All opinions are my own.

Our family discovered Warmies and they have been a life-saver. Warmies are weighted stuffed animals that are infused with lavender and even microwaveable for warmth. They have helped both children immensely.

Tbomb has ADHD and really benefits from the weight of his little dragon and the lavender. Both of them help soothe him when he gets worked up and cannot calm himself. I really wish he had this when he was treated for ITP and stayed in the hospital for a week- it really would have helped him out.

Snapper has had a lot of medical problems lately. Her stomach, her knee pain, headaches, and fighting off every illness she comes across. We are getting answers, but waiting on specialists seems to be taking forever. She also has OCD, SPD, and has been diagnosed with anxiety. There are other issues that come along with anxiety as well.

Not only does it help calm her when she is upset or anxious, but if I heat it, I can put it on her knee and it helps relieve the pain. It has also been wonderful to help fight off the many colds she had in the fall. (She has been diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder and her body cannot fight things off and it takes her quite a while to get over illnesses).

I also use lavender a lot with the kids because of the calming qualities and I spritz their beds with lavender spray. When we are traveling, the Warmies give that wonderful sense of home that helps them rest soundly.

Warmies was so kind to send Tbomb a Warmies Junior Dragon, Snapper a Warmies Unicorn, and even a Llama for her teacher so that she and other students in the class could benefit from the calming qualities of the wonderful cuddly toys. It was wonderful because if she felt overwhelmed in the classroom, she could get the llama and it would calm her. We've had to pull her from public school, but the llama did make her experience better while she was there.

If you would like to learn more about Warmies and why they work so well, their website has a ton of information. Warmies.com
